The Timpano Legal team blends a wealth of experience in criminal law in Perth.
Laura Willox (Née Timpano)
Laura is an experienced criminal defence lawyer in Perth. She has practised in criminal law in Perth for over a decade. Her passion is to help people caught up in the criminal justice system from minor indiscretions to the most serious and complex cases. This passion led Laura to establish her own criminal law firm, Timpano Legal Criminal Lawyers Perth in 2008.
She is devoted to providing transparent, practical legal advice and excellent client service. She ‘calls’ it as she sees it.
“I jump out of bed in the morning to come in and help people who need us — whether that’s helping them take responsibility for a crime they have committed, or helping them through a process that can be very daunting for someone who has been wrongfully accused.”
She is well regarded and trusted by leading criminal barristers and has developed a network of specialist advisors to support clients beyond their legal issues.
Laura is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is admitted to practise in Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Natalia was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia after completing a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Mass Communications (Public Relations) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University. Natalia is well versed in Court advocacy after having appeared in many jurisdictions on countless matters involving traffic offences, serious assaults, sexual assaults, dishonesty charges and drug offences. She has experience in conducting bail hearings, sentencing matters and trials.
“There is something special about being a criminal defence lawyer. You are able to experience first-hand the magic of legal knowledge combined with persuasive speech. Whether it be before a Judge at sentencing or a jury during a trial, the ability to have someone question their preconceived notions about your client and their circumstances can be overwhelmingly satisfying.”
Nadia joined Timpano Legal Perth Criminal Lawyers as Administrative Assistant in May 2014.
Nadia has since completed her Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Business Law.
“Criminal law has a greater human element, than say corporate law. It’s a lot more intimate, because the ‘asset’ we’re working for is freedom.”
Nadia has recently graduated after completing the University of Western Australia’s Faculty of Law Juris Doctor, a postgraduate law degree, and is now a full-time member of our team.
