Here’s what you should do…
⦁ Call us immediately!
⦁ If have been arrested:
⦁ Tell police you want to speak with your lawyer
⦁ Advise police you will not be participating in an interview
⦁ Do not answer any questions inside or outside of the interview room with any police officer
⦁ Say “no comment” or Ï don’t wish to answer”when asked any question
⦁ If you have not been arrested:
⦁ Contact us and we can arrange to speak with police on your behalf
⦁ And do all of the above!
If you are placed under arrest by police as a suspect, police must tell you what you are being charged with and police must give you an opportunity to speak with a lawyer. This is the time to call us!

Police may ask for access to your phones or computers. In this situation you should seek legal advice immediately.
We will advise you to be polite to police and say you will not be participating in an interview. We will advise you not to answer any questions put to you by police unless you are legally obliged to answer these questions.
Any answers to questions or information given to police can be used against you in Court. You are not under any obligation to assist police in their investigation against you.
